I have this cab I've been hired to restore for a very enthusiastic client. The artwork needs to be reproduced and I've already reached out to a few guys but I have a question about this style of material. It has a very silver backing. How close can we get this reproduced? And what do you call this type of silver back material ?

I assume that metallic material shows through on the front side of the print.

You'll need to find someone who has a printer with the ability to do opaque white ink. Once you have that, you'll need printable material like this...

Likely you'll need to buy a whole roll unless you can find it by the foot.

Another option would be to find any silver vinyl that matches the original and have the art printed on clear laminate. Then, laminate the silver vinyl with the printed clear. Lastly if you want to protect it you'd need to laminate it again.

Id think a sign shop might have a line on printable chrome vinyl and then you could just laminate it once after printing.
