I wanted to check to see if anyone has come up with any artwork for a multi vector over the years? I am woking on a SD cab setup.

Thoughts?

I'm interested as well since I will be doing the same project. Have you decided on your control panel layout?

So far I am just doing mine like the one on the website. SD CP with a spinner in the center.

Back to the Artwork.... I am hoping someone has made a "marquee" and will chime in... and offer up the file...

Fun Fun,

I am also interested to see what others have / are working on. I am working on a vector mame that I am putting into a Star Wars.

Here is one I have seen on the web that was done by Ian Boffin, I believe.

As opposed to a spinner, it uses a trackball for Quantum / Major Havoc, the "standard" 10 buttons for Space Duel and similar "5-button layout" games, and two joysticks for Black Widow.

I did mine like that but added 2 coins, 2 starts and pause under the panel on the small piece of wood that the CP mounts to. That way there weren't too many buttons on the CP and looking at the cab you didnt see a mess of buttons all over the front of the game. I really wish that I didnt have to sell that stupid game... :-(

that does look awesome!!! is there a place that you can take images to screen print(like all the good repros now on the 3M stuff)? i'm sure this has been brought up in other threads anyway. i used to print marquees on a lexan at Kinkos and wondering if anyone has done cpos?

i'm interested as well but are you guys literally using mame(pc and pc monitor) for these type cabs or is there a pcb with vector now? been out the loop on games and mame for awhile.

Im a NooB to this stuff but if someone wants to email me something I will give it a shot. I have a sign shop which I can pretty much do anything...who wants to be the ginnie pig?

for myself and I think most or all Multi Vector projects.. are being built with a old build of Dos Mame with a front end just for this type project and also support for the ZVG card...

So its dos mame on a pc going to a ZVG card to drive a vector monitor... (very cool).

I just got some Multi Williams stuff done here and it seems quite nice...

So that being said I think we just need to get the artwork built and we can get it printed.

My 2 cents.

Great offer Hotrod :)

I bought the ZVG and will be doing this, probably in a tempest shaped machine.

Probably will have a few interchangable control Panels.

I will mount the Amplifone Horizontally, and the Vector mame will rotate the vertcal games

Artwork to follow - You guys are 6 months ahead of me

Very cool thread, knowing others are doing this :D

Also I would be that a "wanted post" would get you some for sale offers as I bet many people have them that never built the project.

Cool - I think I'll post a wanted ad then... what did these sell for, $200-$300?

Sorry John, didn't mean to derail your thread... ;)

New price was $199 + about $25 for the cable setup. (Black & White) or (Color)

Guys, this is not really any different than the normal games we collect. How many of those are still being made? .... :)
