Any tips or strategies for getting a decent score on Armor Attack? I'm lucky to score 3000 points and would like to improve my game.

My highest scores are single player games where I take out 2 of the 3 tanks and leave the one. Then wait for the helicopters. Take out 5 and get a free guy.

The walls are your friends. I just loaded mine up to head East and I am already sorry I sold her.

This is best way to rack up easy points. And get against a wall versus the choppers and shoot into it while the chopper approaches.

I'd like to know how the manufacturers expected people to play the game in
a dark arcade. Its tough to see the walls. Lots of fun though

I'm curious about this too. I need to get mine working again, and then figure out how to light it so the walls are visible without glare.

I just marathoned AA at the 1UP in Denver, Co. Final score 1,324,640. I was going for the Twin Galaxies WR of 2,009,000, which I believe to be a BS score due to the way the game has to be played, the way the score has to be tracked and the amount of time the game has to be played to get 2M+.

The score rolls at 40,960. An obvious 8-bit multiple glitch. Also, the score only displays on screen for a second when you shoot a tank. The score doesn't display when shooting a chopper. Most of the game you are shooting down choppers, so you have to know when to shoot a tank to display the score before it rolls, to correctly track the score.

Take out 2 tanks, and hunt choppers while avoiding the single tank.

You have to be able to hunt choppers and take out enough to keep your jeep count even, or gain jeeps. Eventually something nice will happen that makes the game much easier to play. I'll let you guys figure that out yourself.

AA is a bi-polar game. When the game is hard, it's very hard. When it gets easy, it gets very easy. You need to crank up your jeep count when it's in easy mode.

BTW my 1,324,640 game took 53 hours and 1 minute.
