How many have actually used these? I think we should see some pics of these babies in action. I am installing some right now and noticed a few things. One, they are pretty cool. 2, they seem to be smaller in diameter than a standard button hole? 3, what are the 2 plastic collars for? One is the nut obviously, but what is the smaller one on top for? Does it go above or below the CP? 4, does it matter which tab the 12v is run to, and which tab gets ground? I assume not, but I assumed that with some LED strips once and I was wrong.

I have them on my hyper pin and they work pretty good. I did realize that the 15V I was putting through the Flipper buttons was burning up the switches (but he took care of me :) ).

To answer your questions:
1. Yes they are
2. They are a bit smaller
3. I use them on my pinball as they hole is bigger than the nut. This allows me to have something to have the nut hold against...
4. Yes, it does matter. I can take a look and see which is which, but if you just attach the +12V & Gnd to see if it works, if no workie, switch. :)

i love them !! I have them on my SF2 and my golden tee.I also bought some pac buttons that i am going to be putting in my Pacman that i am converting to a 60 in 1 (dont worry its a water damaged cab that needed a lot of work).Ill post some pics of my games lit up .as far as the black spacer /nuts that come with the buttons not to sure why?By the way Armi is a great guy !!

OK, note on the collar above the nut. Do not use it if you are installing these on a 3/4 inch wooden CP. The nut sticks out just beyopd the bottom of the shaft at it's tightest position and pushes the bottom tabs together causing the button to stay in the depressed position after you press it. Remove the collar, the nut spins further up the shaft and the button again has full travel. So the collars must be for metal cp's.

I just got some last week for my *cough* Mame project.. No worries no real arcades were harmed in the project. Take a look see.. pics don't do them justice. Very nice looking buttons.. Oh, and he sent a nice little extra in the button packaging!! Nice little Hawaiian treat!

That's what I'm talking about. They look great.

That panel is awesome!!!!

supaDave, that is a very nice looking machine, but really, having a joystick coming out of Daphne's ass ??!?? I mean really! And we won't even talk about button placement.......

Here's my Double Dragon panel with Armi's buttons installed so far:

They look very cool in person and seem to be almost too intense (without flash) for my camera to show you just how cool they look in the dark:

Overall, great product. The microswitch brackets seem to be cheap though, as 2 of mine were already broken when I opened up the box.

Superdave, most of us here are not against mame machines when they are done well like yours. The issue is when someone takes a classic cab like tempest and hacks it to hell and back. Very nice DL clone there, great job.

I think those buttons are more suited for mame machines, pinballs and multigames. They look good but I know I dont want a bunch of lights all over my control panels.

Lots :) people seem to be having a blast with them, which is great

Couldn't agree more

Actually the answer to this is all in one. If you look right below the top of the button the plastic has a slightly larger diameter, that fits the standard hole better. If you have smaller diameter holes you can put the collar on top of the control panel and put the button threw a smaller hole. If you have regular hole I put it below so I don't have to tighten the nut down as far.
4, does it matter which tab the 12v is run to, and which tab gets ground? I assume not, but I assumed that with some LED strips once and I was wrong.
This one is pretty simple, if you get it backwards it won't light, you either have to rotate the light or flip the connections. Sorry guys, I am working on AC/DC LED's for pins, but they are a bit more expensive than the bad boys in the buttons

On a side note, I have to take a picture of it, but if you take the pinball machines like TZ or the others with lit buttons on the front, where the button is recessed into the machine, you can elevate a little with the black collar, which I like. Also, the "Start" and "Extra Ball" inserts that are on TZ fit into these exactly! Since TZ is modded all the time, I didn't feel any guilt putting some sweet chrome on the front, I will post pics later.

Thanks for all the support guys it's really fun to see pictures!

On another note...some of the early microswitch holders were out of a more brittle plastic. We have nailed down the right suppliers now and made sure that that plastic is not used anymore. If you have broken holders send us a picture, we can replace them. We had a few break here, but thought it was us being abusive as we didn't hear anything back from customers.

Anyone else use these buttons yet? I've done a few CP's with them since this thread, but haven't hooked them up to see how they look lit.
