Hi,

Has anyone ever attempted to duplicate the CHV1-BAK PCB of Arm Wrestling ? My understanding is that the CPU and VIDEO PCBs are the same as the CHP1 pcbs from Punch Out and Super Punch Out.

Since the schematics are available and the CHV1 boards are unobtainium, a repro seems a good way to convert a PO arcade into an Arm Wrestling arcade.

Any thoughts ?

Marc

Does anyone have an hirez picture of the Arm Wrestling Bak PCB. I am about to get started with this project.

I will for sure need an original PCB at some point but there is a lot to do before I get there.

My goal is to offer the PCBs at cost once I am done so that the Nintendo Punch Out enthousiasts can modify their game to play arm wrestling.

Thanks !

Here's a pic of my extra working back up Arm Wrestling pcb (not for sale) good luck on the project

It'd be awesome for someone to make some more of those double punch out boards as well. Just noticed my r type uses a joystick with a threaded shaft.

Hey mdesfosses, I wanted to check and see if you started on the AW BAK board and if so what your status was. I just learned the hard way about this special board and need one. I know I probably wont find one and Im an embedded engineer by day so I will probably be forced to make one. So just didnt want to duplicate effort if you have already started.

It would be extremely helpful if you could assist me in finding an original manual. In there is the schematic and layout for the bak board. I found the site here https://archive.org/details/armwrestlingschematics with a scan but unfortunately it is low resolution and gets blurry as I zoom in. I need to be able to print this on large paper.

Thanks

I would love this as well, I wonder how many could be sold? If there is enough need usually someone steps up

Almost everything I have built in life has been due to necessity. If I cant buy it, then I have to make it or abandon the project. Im not interested in abandoning my favorite game growing up and im also not interested in hiding a mame machine in my cab so that leaves only two choices left. Find one or make one. I have the ability to make one we will see which path I go down.

Hi !

I started to gather all the parts I would need in EAGLE to replicate the PCB. I did not have as much time as I thought. The key to making a replica really is to find an original.

I do not recall where I found the schematics from but the version I have is detailed enough to get you started. I can't attach it to this thread because it's too big but PM me your email and I will send it to you.

There are a few guys on here with PCB's, they might be willing to loan one....

You are correct. For some reason when I saw him say "not for sale" I assumed not for loan either. I can contact him over PM.

Yeah idk. I doubt he'd loan it, but you could ask. Maybe he could at least take some detailed pics and measurements.
