I know $275 for an untested board is suicide, but it's a best offer sale so it could go lower. Is it still too risky? Are these boards prone to dying and staying dead? I have a bead on a Punch-Out cab that would work well for this and considering I just missed out on TWO Super Punch-Out boards by a matter of hours (damn you whoever got the Crystal Lake, IL SPO today, damn you straight to hell) and a matter of a few dollars, I feel the need to act. Arcade hivemind thoughts?

Edit: Huh, just noticed this auction is in Crystal Lake, IL as well. Pretty sure it's different sellers as the SPO machine went for $350. $350!!!! FML

Regardless of clean, untested usually means it does not work. Now if the seller was honest (no way to know) and at least said it was working when pulled but have no way to test then I might consider buying something I really wanted. Still I think the asking price is in the range of a tested working arm wrestling board. Personally I wouldn't risk it but #1 I don't care for arm wrestling # I don't generally have that type of disposable cash where I wouldn't care if it turned out to be non working.

I bought a tested working one from good old Davez off ebay for $200 shipped and when I received it.....it was dead, I was able to swap the CPU board from a PO and got it working :) the harded part I think of this scoring this kit was the control panel although the Marquee wasn't easy. It's really hard to find a CP that does not have extra holes from some type of conversion.

If you have a working PO board you can swap the CPU & Video board but the BAK board is different so as long as the BAK board is good you will be okay.

If anyone here knows how to beat Texas Mac the second time around I'm all ears :)

That is chips4sle's auction. I nearly pulled the trigger on that board and 2 untested Super Punchout boards, but it was too much to risk on untested boards.

The most risky thing about it is you might break your arm. I used to love to Arm Wrestle until I saw that video online of that Marine getting his arm snapped in half arm wrestling.

I'm not watching it again, but is this the one where he gets a spiral fracture?

I remember the interview with the guy. He said it was the most painful thing, ever.
