Has anyone figured out how to continue a game of Arkanoid on the 48-in-1 or 60-in-1 multigame board?

When you end a game, it asks if you want to continue, but nothing I can do will allow it to continue. I have tried setting the game to quarters and freeplay, and no luck.

It seems there should be a way, as there is a continue option in the set-up menu for this game.

Anyone figured it out?

You can't.

That's what I was afraid of. When you get to the continue screen, it shows zero credits, and adding credits doesn't adjust the counter, like it can't communicate with the shell program. That sucks.

Turn off all the other games. Then the game won't go back to the selection screen and reset.
That's the only way to do it.

It's pretty much bullshit. They set up the board to let you continue in 1943... But not in Arkanoid or Gunsmoke.

Yup, that works. Not too pretty, but it works. Thanks!

Actually, I'm pretty sure I was able to continue if I took it off of free play, then added a whole bunch of credits, then did the continue thing. Maybe I had to have no credits then add the credit while on the continue screen. I don't remember, but I remember being able to do it without shutting everything off, but it wouldn't work on free play....

I tried that. You can here the credits racking up, but the Arkanoid screen kept showing "CREDITS 0" at the bottom of the screen. It was like the MAME operating system wasn't updating the credit counter for Arkanoid.
