I'm pretty positive this is a bugertime cabinet if I'm worng please correct me seller wants 400 for it which in Canada is actually cheap. I will be at his location next week and thinking about buying it to do a restore here is the pic that makes me believe its a Burgertime. How hard is to find a Burgertime PCB?

yes it's a burger time cab. Haven't looked for maybe 6 months but back then it was pretty easy to find a burger time pcb.

I have seen side art on eBay for around 200 but BurgerTime were painted cabs. Stencil kits for the sides can be found at

http://www.thisoldgame.com/products/burgertime-stencil-set

As you can see they run around $150.

As far as a PCB, I am looking for one right now and they are rarer than your Pac Mans and DKs for sure but they are out there.

Also you can paint up some white buttons into pepper buttons with this stencil kit

If they are missing.

Thanks for the info I will have to look at the cab and decide if I am getting it. If its in fair shape I will buy it.

It seems like every cab ever made has at least once been bastardized into an arkanoid. I don't remember the game being THAT popular.

Burgertime PCB's aren't too hard to find, I bought a non-working one off eBay to fix mine for around $45 bucks a few months back.

Luckily all the artwork was recently done including the glass bezel, control panel overlay, and marquee. I got the set from http://www.backtothearcade.com/ Awesome guy to deal with and the artwork was beautiful.

I'd say grab that cab and do the restore, here's some inspiration:

It was crazy popular. People who rarely put quarters into arcade machines previously would play Arkanoid. Same with Tetris.

Poor Burgertime, love that game. I used to have one and plan on owning another. I bought the art repro pieces and they are amazing, just need a cab now and then stencils. I too have seen just about every cab made into an Arkanoid and it was wildly popular and like pookdolie said any one would play it.

Even though you say $400 is cheap by you unless BT is a grail for you are you ready to spend that much?

$400 cabinet
$400 all art and stencils, not counting paint and time, labor, etc.
$100 board
$100+? wiring, PS, buttons, maybe new CP?

With labor and misc. parts way over $1,000. Nice cab for somebody who has a damaged one and can transfer parts or has the parts already but very expensive to start from scratch at $400.

Well if you want to hear sad I am building a multi cocktail and am sparing no expense and the cost will be well over 1200 dollars once all the bells and whitsles are in. I would rather have an original Bugertime than the multi but decided my first would be something that I wouldn't care if I screwed up. I now have a fully fuctional Battlezone about 8/10 paid 600.00 for it. Also picked up a Arkanoid ROD for 600.00 converting it back to a 1943 a tiger Heli for 150 cabinet is toast but monitor was in excellant shape. So yeah I think I'll take the plunge have a heated garage that lets me work on things in the winter so I think I can say I have the next years at least planned out for me. Oh and I have a Bubble Bobble and Pengo to build from scratch.
