Just finished up the second Arcade Repair party!

Excellent turn out this time too! Lots of stuff got fixed, some future problems identified and one casualty of "Fixing". Poor Satan's Hollow. Started with Audio problems, and left with Audio and Video problems. :(

I want to thank everyone who showed up!

I want to give a special thanks to James (JROK) for showing up! Without his knowledge and skills, this might have been more of a break it party :)

Thanks to Joe (Krajkerjac) for loaning me the extra De-soldering Station and Soldering Iron!

Thanks again and I hope to have another one in a month or so!

Thanks again for doing this, Brien! Satan will rise again soon enough (if anyone has a fully-working PCB for sale, PM me!). The monitor looked awesome with the cap kit. Thanks for walking me through it!

Another great party, thanks again brien!
After watching that monitor cap kit get installed Im ichin for new tools!

Yes, good times. Still a ways to go with my Asteroids CT, but at least the monitor and power supply got checked and were fine... No easy fix, unfortunately. :(

It's a PCB issue, right? If so, I'll keep my eyes and ears open.

Yeah. There's some really bad solder 'fixes' on it that look so horrible, *I* could do them better, and that's saying a lot. :D

Might be fixable, but in the meantime I will also look for a good price on a PCB... Way easier.

Wish I could have been there. Hopefully next time, or maybe we can hold one at Arcade-in-a-Box in Tucson in the future :).

I'm sad James was there and I wasn't able to meet him in person. Does he live in Phoenix? I use to deal with him a lot a few years back when I was making super guns, great guy.

Nah, he lives on his own personal island, purchased from the sale of Multi boards  Either that or San Diego... but if it rains enough, it's sorta like an island...

Yes, fun times!
James was nice enough to work on an Omega Race pcb. Man! He had it up and working in less than 5 minutes!!!! What a guy! He stated that he will start to work on Omega Race boardsets and give up this false dream of multigaming....

;)

That was a fun gathering again Brien ! Haven't played Star Castle in forever.
Your pinball hates me though.

That must be a pretty big box to hold an arcade gathering ;)

I'm in San Diego, but have family out in Phoenix who do the snow bird thing, so travel there fairly frequently. Although this season has been a bust with a crazy project schedule keeping me busy.

Bummed that I missed it. Please PM me in the future when you guys are going to be doing another one. I definitely need to improve my skills.

Sorry I missed this. I'll be watching for the next one and look forward to meeting some of the other Phoenix enthusiasts...
