After some consideration, and prodding from other people here, I have decided to host an Arizona Arcade Party at my place.

A little background... After having game rooms in several rooms of my house, I decided to build a shop & game room in my back yard. While planning to build this, my collection grew in anticipation, and the size of the shop grew as well. The result is a 3100 sf 2 story building in my back yard, housing about 100 games and pins. 85 or so are working and in the 2nd story arcade. Blacklights, carpet, decorations, the works.

Anyway. Planning to hold this event on Saturday October 16th, 2010 from 6PM til midnight. I will have drinks and pizza.

Here are a few videos that someone took at one of the previous get togethers. Lots has changed since these videos, but should give everyone a good idea of what is expected.

Thanks

About time!

I'm there.

Is this the largest collection of games in AZ? :D

If you claim second largest, then I would have the be the largest. =)

After all, how many from your collection are now in mine? :D

So Arcadenut wants me to push it off until November, he says he is too busy.

Unbelievable.
There are 2 responses to attend.
I thought your description was modest too...if they only knew.

Didn't see this thread until just now.

Argh. I'm so in, except that date sucks, I already have plans that evening... :(

Let me see if I can rearrange those plans.

I do not take that claim anymore. I can see that it draws people out the woodwork to play rare games...

Oh, and Arcadenut can rearrange his schedule....busy? Pfft.... :001_ssuprised:

I just PMed a few AZ peeps...

Thanks for the PM. I will see what we can do to make it there. Are you cool with kids coming or is it for grown ups only?

Not sure of my work schedule yet, but would love to go if I am able to swing it.

Arcade party

I will be there and I will bring my 2 teenagers if that is okay. I have an email list from my arcade party would you like me to send out an email to that group? Also I am a member of APPL would you like me to email the pinball league as well? Thanks Tim

Bring a friend, bring the kids. Should be fun for everyone.

I am putting together a list, and will PM everyone the address.

I don't know if inviting the whole pinabll league at this time is a good idea, how many people are we talking about? I am thinking probably 40-50 total people would be a good number. I had 75ish at our company xmas party, and it worked well, but not everyone was an "Arcadenut".

Was hoping to get my G08 for the ST cockpit back before the party, but not looking good.

For those wanting a preview, someone posted 3 vids from one of the earlier parties on youtube, search for gilbert az arcade. Things have changed a lot since then, but should give you an idea.

Feel free to PM me with any Qs.

Todd

I was about to ask who owned that gameroom. Amazing, my man. Well done. If I were in AZ I'd be there for sure.
