ok so i just spend all day today messing with the hantrex polo monitor in my tekken tag it was kicking my butt

so after hours or trying to adjust and then reseating the pins for the molex connector and then testing by swaping color wires

i finaly decided to install the board into another cab and come to find out its the freaking board
{ i mean i went the whole 9 yards swaped the red and green wires from the jamma harnnes to the blue input on the monitor and got blue , installed a new wire into the jhamma harness for the blue and still no blue arggggg}

my symptoms were no blue

(the funny thing is i tried another board in the tekken cab and still no blue but now that same board is showing blue in the tekken cab arggg must of dicked with the color adjustments to much and now they are somewhat close again)

now with the tekken tag pcb in my sega stv cab
its weird
the monitor shows like the blue drive is way high (black background is bluish)
but the game itself has no blues even in the test menu on the color bar generator the blue bar is not there

has anyone dealt with repairs on these tekken boards
is there somewhere i should start
or am i better off just snagging a new boardset and calling it a day

one thing to check is the display test in test mode. I don't know if you knew this, or even checked already, but you can software adjust the RGB values as well as the contrast.

I would know... had to color correct my Polo a bit when the cab it went in was running Tekken Tag. until of course the damn thing died again.

I can't remember what values are good starting points, so I guess you'll have to start at 00 for each. permitting that's the problem.

yea i spent qutie some tome trying the in game settings as well

there was just no blue

even in the in game menu no matter how hi i set the blu the letterts that sgould say blue were not there just black

same on the color bar screen

and i know its not the monitor because the game board does the same in my sega cab
and now i have a ring king board i stuck in the tekken cab and its got blue argg guess i need to sump 50$ on a new boardset

something seems to fail on these. I have a Tekken Tag board that has stuck inputs, both on the JAMMA and kick harness sides. I asked about it on here last year and got blank stares, maybe cause it wasn't Circus Charlie or Crystal Castles. so I just found another one that worked.

lol yea at this point i think im just going to strip the art off the cab and turn it into a cps2 cab people on
feepay seems to think these boards ar e worth gold 80-125$

and the cab i have was taken in on trade so i really dont feel like spending that kind of cash on a game im just selling any way (i personaly hate the tekken series )

its kinda a shame tho as this cab is a uniquqe namco europe liscensed conversion
that was imported (it runs on 220)

but in the end i will only get 250-300 out of the cab and spending another 100
4 just for a pcb just kinda makes me feel sick lol

I dropped 90 on Tekken Tag, came with art and move cards too from Bill Burger on ebay. you won't need such items I guess, but in my case I felt it was worth it. if it's a game that I like I'll pay the price for it.

otherwise alternatively I guess you could try fixing the thing yourself. maybe ask channelmanic?
