Anyone near Philly have an Area 51 Site 4 drive I can copy? I can't find what the #$#@ I did with my drive, nor do I know if its really any good anyway. (It booted to test menu)

Found my drive..trying to make a backup copy of it using chdman now. Still curious if anyone near me happens to have a good drive or image incase this one isn't good.

You can download it off of torrents. It's not too hard but takes a long time.

I used uTorrent and prioritized the Area 51 chd file to get it quicker.

I have a site 4 here in Cleveland, Not exactly next door to ya though.

Site 4 won't work on an original Area 51. It uses a different processor and is a different board altogether.

Yah I know, I would love to be able to run max force on my machine but can not with out another PCB. but the OP did say site 4

Yup definitely need a Site 4, not the original Area 51. Ghostkiller you have a pm!

I guess I was hoping someone close by could also try popping my drive in to see if its any count - it does boot but boots to a test menu. Could be a bad board or a bad drive - its definitely a replacement (40 gig) so if it was written using a CHD it may have been done wrong, who knows. I'm just on a mission with this thing - I've actually learned a little bit about digital electronics in working on this, and getting it going may be more fun than actually playing it.

For those that happen to have a Site 4 chd/image that definitely works, I can accommodate all sortsa methods of transfer - IT geek here with access to a decent connection :) FTP, Instant Messenger, Skype, web, carrier pigeon, smoke signal, morse code, etc.

Sometimes its tricky to get the image restored and ive had issues in the past of restoring a drive with a good image and the 2nd go around it ended up working so who knows. HIt me up later on and ill get that image to ya.
