Today I went and powered on the games and noticed that the width of my game screen had shrunk. Also there were horizontal bars going across the screen. The game picture was never perfect since I owned the game. There was always a section of the top of the screen (see picture of my hand showing the section) where the picture was distorted. Now when you leave the game on for awhile the bars get more noticeable. I did a cap kit a half a year ago to it and that really didn't change much. Any suggestions what could be causing this. For the horizontal bars, turn down the brightness on the monitor flyback. If yours is a dedicated cabinet, the controls are kind of hard to reach - looking at the machine from the back the controls are on the right of the monitor chassis. You can reach your fingers in and adjust it.

If I remember right the brightness is the upper of the two controls. The other is focus.

Not sure on the horizontal width. I know there is a vertical size adjustment on the remote board inside the coin door.

Yeah turn it down on the flyback and then adjust it up with the controls behind the coin door until it looks good and plays well. If it's too dark it won't register the gun right.
