Are Tron's heavier than most games? Not sure if I can get one in the back of my truck with an appliance dolly. I was able to do this with my DK.

Tron

They are heavier than a DK for sure. The shape of the back of the cab makes them not good at laying down. Also when tipping one back they tend to try and kick out because of the wheels. You can lay it on its side very easily using blankets for padding to avoid scuffing the cab/sideart. I move them by myself like this all the time. Paperboy/Champ sprints are even worse.

Not when you cut the bottom off!

On it's side in the van is what I did. The back of the van is lower than the bed of a truck, so it was very easy:

720's worse, as is Discs of Tron, but not terrible. It definitely isn't a 1 person job. When mine was delivered, two of us dead lifted it off the back of the truck...not a good idea. 3 people would make more tolerable. Definitely go with the suggestions above.

I laugh when I see these types of threads. I managed to get a Race Drivin' compact in my truck...then out of my truck...then put on it's back (to add nylon feet) and then set upright all by my lonesome. It's easily the heaviest cab in my collection... and the monitor is oriented at the top of the cab which made for a real fun time getting that bad boy up from laying on it's back on the ground.

+1 - When I got my Tron, I'd moved 3 times with my 720, including once to & from my 2nd story apartment. So I guess it seemed easy in comparison. If I had many of the moves to do over again, I'd remove monitors and power bricks before moving things around, just to help a bit.

I agree with Frizz. I had an upright hard drivin and that thing was so TOP heavy and awkward glad its gone.

Pole Position was a SOB to haul. Wide shape, top heavy, and when I loaded it, I soon found out that this was the first game that would not let me close the tailgate. Didnt have ratchets with me either. Luckily I didnt have to travel far...ugh...

atari games are definitely the worst, imo. i had a centipede that was a bitch to move. felt like it weighed 1000 pounds.

This morning, I picked up my TRON, here is how we did it.

Myself and FLAVADAVE rolled it up to my avalanche tailgate (which has a 6" lift, so its a good ways up) tipped it on it's side, side down and lifted the bottom and slide it in. We had blankets in the bed and over the tailgate edge to keep it from scratching and so it would slide easily slide.

When I got home I slide it out over the tailgate a little more then half way then tipped the bottom down held on to the leg bolts and lowered it to the ground by myself.

Once on the ground I rolled it, PUSHING from behind. Not sure why I started by dragging from behind. That doesn't work very well.

Now, TRON is in it's new home. It's heavy alright but if you do it right you won't have to lift it with the full weight.
