I was going through a tote of parts I had collected years ago, in the early 2000's..and came across a bag marked "unused Nintendo CP parts".
Are these Nintendo really Nintendo switches and buttons?

Look real to me too. If you are going to toss them out, I'll take them.😀

The switches with the cylinder thing on top are for the buttons the curved ones are for the joystick.

Probably wrong area - but does someone want to make a reasonable/market offer on these?

Are you sure they are NOS?

I see evidence of lock tite on one of the buttons. Hard to tell with the current pictures the wear on the others.

Here is another pic - I'm pretty sure that they were never used, but do show some light surface wear from sitting around.

I'm tempted to remove the e-clip and take a look inside...buttons that were used would normally have dirt under the plunger. Any other way to prove their "NOS" status?

Shouldn't you be the one proving it NOS?

Items can be cleaned and polished but it doesn't mean they are NOS.

I don't think calling them nos vs. near perfect looking will change the value.

I have a lot of NOS Nintendo parts. 100's of items that came from 4 or 5 different distributors. I can say with 100% certainty that some NOS Nintendo parts do have lock-tite residue on them. Most commonly found on the control panel parts (joysticks, buttons, switches, etc).
I believe Nintendo had built up 100's (1000's?) of populated control panels but then parted them out due to not needing them. Those parts then went back into stock and sold to distributors.
