Are the tubes different in medium resolution and standard resolution setups? I need a standard res 25" setup and thought I'd have one, but all three of the spare 25" displays I have are medium res.

Thanks,

-JM

The tubes are usually the same (check the CR #'s on the tube charts), but the yokes are different.

If you saw my 5515/5501 thread recently, I tested both the medium-res 5515 and the standard-res 5501 on the same tube, but swapped yoke when i swapped chassis....

You sure none of the 25" monitors you have are not dual-res capable?

I don't think they are. One was out of a Wheels II that had been converted. It was marked as a std res, but after a couple of hours of trying to adjust it out with no luck I looked up the chassis and it was medium res. (it an old std res frame with the old stickers).

Another one is in a Hard Drivin' , but I think it's too old to have a dual monitor in it.

The third is in a Virtua Fighter, but I'm not sure what's in it and I think I've decided against killing a good, working machine. Even if it does have a dual monitor in it.

I'll check into it and see what I can do to make something work. It'll be a lot cheaper to get a chassis/yoke and get it shipped than to buy and ship the whole thing.

Considering that 25" medium-res monitors sell for a lot more than 25" standard-res monitors, you could probably sell one and buy one and come out ahead...
