I have 2 Arctic Thunder's that have been the repair job from hell. I have finally got everything working except now the games wont link. I have other Midway games here and started by switching the network board on one. After that it linked fine until I turned them off. After a couple hours I switch the second network board and voila they link until I turn them off. Now I am stuck. I have changed the ethernet cables and the coupler but I know they are not the issue. Any help will be welcomed. I am trying to get these shipped out tomorrow but I have to have them at 100% first.

If they're anything like Rush 2049, you need to either use a crossover cable (-E- or two cables and a crossover coupler -- straight-through coupler won't work), or put a hub between the two (any 10/100 Ethernet hub will do), otherwise you'll get inconsistent linking, if they link at all.

I had a linking issue with a pair of California Speeds that was caused by a dead memory battery. Game would lose it's assigned car number ( 0 & 1, 1 & 2, etc.) and linking would fail. Do not know if that applies to the Midway games. Denny

I believe at least these midway games save all info to the HD. I have checked and they always still have their numbers.
