Was just making a list of items to get ordered tomorrow and low and behold i don't see Arcadeshops multi Williams metal CP anymore. What gives? Another "supposive arcade project" that will never see the light of day?
GAH!!! I don't want to deal with drilling out my current original CP.

Ahh scratch that - looked past it the first time. however it still says TBA. Going to call them tomorrow and get the scoop on these things.

UPDATE:

Was told they are hoping very soon but didn;t want to give a "for sure" date. I asked if this was a case of a flakey manufacturer or what the deal was. I was told "these are going to happen no matter what".

So for the lazy people like me the CP's are going to happen lets hope it's soon!

Just as an FYI - I bought one of the complete cp's last fall, which was simply a populated metal cp.... Steve said they had to switch suppliers in March and the new run hasn't been completed - he wasnt very specific... When I talked to him last Thursday, he said "a couple weeks".....

In the meantime I am sitting here with a stripped Joust cp wondering how the hell I am going to get it to match the cpo I bought.....I may just wait.

The outside dimensions of the metal control panel are the same as the outside dimensions of the wooden control panel, so your CPO should go on just fine, providing the holes on the CPO match the holes on the CP.

On a side note, you'll find a problem with mounting this when using the newer microswitch buttons the new populated CP comes with. Remember that the original wood CP had short leaf switches where the start buttons and other buttons went. With the longer microswitch buttons, you'll find that the buttons near the top of the CP will now hit the wood crossbar below the bezel when trying to latch the CP. I found it necessary to make a couple cutouts in the crossbar so that the CP would close easily and sit flush....

Thanks for the heads up - it looks like an op removed the crossbar when they converted it to Rush'n'Attack. The cp now latches toward the front... not sure I like it, but it works.

My point about the CPO is the holes, I am going to try to line it up and mark the holes before I cut.... I am guessing there will be a large amount of bondo involved thanks to it being a conversion already....

Ok - was hoping it was a phoenixarcade one so I could talk you into possibly sending it to Daviea
