Arcadeshop multi board discontinued

I eagerly await Frizzlefried's response to this one.
Anyone that bought this board was hosed. I would say a class action lawsuit could easily be had against him because you bought the board with the intentions of upgrades and with all the documentation of empty promises and board quirks .... I don;t think it would end well for him. Just my .02 and please let me extend my condolences to the people that were taken advantage of.

I loved the concept of this thing. But I had a feeling from the get-go that it wasn't going to see another version - that's why I didn't pull the trigger.

So...where can I buy one of these knock-offs, that, unlike the ArcadeShop board, doesn't require me to take out a second mortgage to purchase?

Bad news for D2K owners. Can't ever change the game lineup or you will lose D2K. Somebody sell me a bootleg/clone cheap ;-)

My guess is the knock-offs will take over - they will still be available, just not 'updated'.

You still get a lot of games on there.

At last check, the knock off was still 275. Needs to go down for me to grab one. I really like the menu system better on this board over the 60.

Who makes them and where can you buy ? ( Link )

Nixs sells them

I was curious as to what was going on there. I didn't know there was a knock-off in production, and the only thing I could figure was that Nixs was acting as a reseller for ArcadeShop. But then again, that didn't make any sense for Stephen to allow Nixs to sell them for cheaper than he was selling them on the ArcadeShop site.

I've asked for clarification on the DKII issue. Bottom line is that if he doesn't release the code to re-install DKII at will, I will be forced to look at other "legal" options.

Has anyone used Nixs' version yet? Do all the games play properly with good sound, etc?

I wonder if The Hong Kong Pirates behind these multiboards clones are so tragic and drama queenish during meetings when they discover that one of their multiboard got pirated by another rival?

The team at TigerStyle (tm) Studio has decided to make a dramatic re-enactment of the events... Let's watch.

"Ah Finally, our techs managed to clone the famed 193-in-1 while keeping costs under 50$! Flood the internet with them!"

"Mr Lee, we have received words that the Black Dragon street gang has cloned our 193-in-1 pirate jamma cart, what should we do? They have hurt our feelings and seems to disreguard any kind of business politeness!"

lopan3.jpg

"Is that so, Superintendant Yang? Then NOBODY will ever get to play Bobble Bubble, our vertical hack of Shinobi and the Osama Ben Laden Hack of Pacman we've been hyping for the last 6 months! Cancel production and punish our entire customers base! I'm typing a dramatic message on our site about this.."
