Arcadeshop Millipede PCB to Centipede conversion pcb issue..

I noticed that the player 1 start button does not light. I have two working millipede pcbs and both don't light player 1. I cannot fathom that both pcbs have the same issue. A centipede pcb lights the player 1 button so it isn't the harness. Is it possible there is something amiss with the AS conversion board? Maybe millipede has the polarity switched for the player 1 led. Does anyone else have this issue?

Srsly???? The thing is new.

I seem to remember someone having the same issue with this conversion board but I can't remember who it was.

Come on now...

Check the converter to make sure it doesn't have a broken solder joint or trace for player1 start?

Ok fine, don't check it and wonder why it doesn't work.

When I have stuff that doesn't work, I look for reasons why. Sorry if that's not your thing, but you posted in the REPAIR forum and one of your questions was:

Yeah, I'd check first that you're actually getting the blink signal at the edge connector, then see if it's coming out of the adapter.

I remember a Pac-to-JAMMA adapter that didn't have the video ground connected and wouldn't give a picture because of it. Added a jumper and it worked.

I assume the Player 2 Start button blinks?

Yeah, player two works fine, but player one does light up with two different boards. Kind of lame if there is a broken connection on this conversion pcb.

No need to be a smart ass about it. I won't have time to further investigate until this weekend as I spent most of the time fixing two dead f-ing Milliped boards. I expect new equipment to work properly. I'm pretty sure someone local mentioned the same issue to me so I was just checking if this has been seen before. /the end

Ok...I was trying to be helpful, and you flamed me for it. I tried to make light of that instead of flaming back (even said sorry!), and you call me a smart ass..../sigh.

Not really a flame but I asked if anyone else had the same issue. So far no response to that question.
