Arcadeshop MCR switching power supply adapter.

Yep, I've had four of them. And the big black thing in the lower right is the battery so it should save the scores. I think it's recommended you leave the game on for 8 hours or something(it's in the directions) for the battery to charge.

Now saying that... I didn't install one in a Journey so I have no idea if there's something odd with it. :dunno:

[edit]And no, I don't think it matters where you take the 120v from.

Thanks Jeff. Its strange I installed this before the Seattle Show. It ran there for 3 days straight. Still does not save scores? Maybe journey doesnt save scores? I figured Journey did since the old PS had a battery on it?

Journey saves scores. I have one in my Tron and DOT and they both save fine. Haven't put one in my Journey, but I'm thinking about it. I haven't looked in Journey's menu lately, but is there some sort of save score option?

I got one to replace my power supply and board in my Satan's Hollow Cabaret. It works great! It does save my high score, but I don't know if that is because of the power supply or the SH board.

At the Seattle show i don'nt think any games where on 3 Days Straight.. I bet each night all games where turned off.. Plus one of the rooms had power problems..

I know i put up pretty good scores on Phoenix each day .. Every day i came back there my scores where reset too no high score or a very low high score by someone else.

Will have to look, maybe thats it?

On my Tron, I first bought a lithium battery kit to replace the batteries on the power board. I think it held the scores for about a month before the battery died. I also purchased the MCR switcher kit from Arcadeshop and I like that kit very much. Its supposed to save the scores, but mine never did for more than a day or so. Considering, that my machined didn't save them before, I think I have something wrong that drains down my power. But in all fairness, I never let the game run for 8 hours so I may have to try that. But again, my game will drain a CR2032 lithium down rather quickly so I have no idea what the best solution is. But I hope my post helps you nonetheless.
