I bought this pcb from someone locally, they sent it through the mail - i should have went and picked it up to test it. The problem i am getting is the screen is really bright and washed out. Does anyone know if the arcadeshop 9n1 pinouts are different than the regular jamma wiring?

make sure the 12 is not hooked up also might want to check the sync wires
12 volt caused the picture to do some weird things

i had the same problem about 3-4 years ago on mine

I would look at the video ground and make sure thats going where it should be. Jump the video ground wire from the monitor to one of the pcb grounds and see if it clears up.
Other than that, are you working with a known good (and correctly adjusted) monitor?

This monitor is working perfectly, i have an Arcadeshop Multi programmable pcb in it and the colors are perfect. I am not sure if the 12v will fix the problem, i will have to try that.

I have another Arcadeshop pcb i bought from this same guy , so i have 2 in total - 1 is a 9n1 & the other is a 8n1, both have the same results - so perhaps it is the 12v

Thanks for the input

..or perhaps the video ground is not run to the edge connector like many of the bootleg jamma mspac pcb's I have seen. Throwing a ground jumper on there fixes them right up.

Video ground is hooked up. I have no idea what is going on with this board. I have emailed Steven at Arcadeshop and he verified that the 12+ needs to be hooked up. Same pinouts as the Programmable pcb (Gamma-1pcb)

I'm too frustrated to work on this right now.

Nix, why would 12v or lack of cause video issues? Do you have any explanation? Im not doubting you, curious more than anything.
Is your jamma connector labeled? Look at the pin for video ground then look at the corresponding pad on the pcb. See if there is a trace running to it. If you have already done this then disregard but I really think this is the issue. It only takes a second, check it out.

honestly i know it sounds bizarre ,but i have done 2 machines in the past with the 9 in 1 as board and it caused the problem both times
i ran a ground direct and all that jazz not sure if the 12 was causing interference or what
12 volt doesn't run anything on this board ,just 5 and ground
