Seen some cabs pop up in some current commercials lately.

Here's one for DirectTV:

And the arcade shot:

Then my wife pointed out this commercial for Great Clips:

And the cab shot (looks like a Robocop maybe with MKII side art, but the back is curved instead of angled):

recent T-Mobile commercial filmed in part locally at our own Dorky's Barcade!

hard to see what Dorky's really looks like since they moved a lot around for the shoot, and they covered up a lot of the game artwork but plenty of cabinets visible.

My old Super Sprint has a cameo at the end. - Barry

heh, so Jerry bought your Super Sprint? dang, each time one of these comes up i think i should go get it but they're so huge... probably best i haven't (yet).

Thanks for starting this thread, modessitt - I always like examples where pop culture meets arcade culture!

mc300baud: did those commercials air on TV? I see they clock in at 1:24, so I imagine they ran with a 30 sec version, or perhaps it was an Internet-based campaign? Love the arcade setting/theme...!

There's a new show coming on called "Shipping Wars"... it's about long haul truck drivers who haul strange items, etc.

In the commercial, they show an arcade game dropping off the back of one of their trucks on the highway at top speed, lol.

There is a Tyler Perry movie coming out called Good Deeds. A recent commercial shows him and a little girl leaving a pizza place, and there is a beautiful (with full side art) Frogger (working) sitting by the window as they leave. I've been checking the online trailers and none of them show it, but I've seen it several times on TV...
