Arcades I visited over the 4th

So, I went to a few arcades this last weekend (the weeked of the 4th) and I visited a few arcades.

Thought I'd post the pictures I took with my phone. Sorry for the quality...

This was a little corner in Seaside oregon. Didn't have much, other than a bunch of multicades... are those even legal for routes?

These first two were at a candy shop in Seaside. It reminded me of the thread about classic candy bars, because they have just about anything you could want... including all kinds of glass soda's

I would have taken more of the candy shop, but it was too crowded... I picked up a few neat Nintendo candies there.

The rest of these are from Funland in Long Beach. It's a decent arcade... was really busy, on both the redemption side and the standard side

The pictures are crummy quality... but you can still see them, I guess

not all that long ago Funland used to have a few classics... there was a DK and an original Ms. Pac, a few late 80's to mid 90's fighters and JAMMA games. last time i was there virtually all of 'em were gone, though there was some Ms. Pac (reunion?) cocktail. maybe that Starblade is still way in back by the bumper carts.

their selection of pins is pretty darn good though.

the tiny game room in the "mall" with the carousel has been there a long time with those multi-games. i think the Ultracade is the only one that's not legal, the others were all properly licensed.

my wife's family is from Cannon Beach and she used to spend a lot of time in that area during the summer. she once mentioned to me that she could've picked up an Addam's Family pin from Funland for $500 and i've almost forgiven her for not doing it. almost.

I thought Ultracade's were legal too. I know Global VR bought them out and thought the ones they sold were legit. The other one is a Namco Ms. Pac/Galaga Class of 2001 Reunion...that one is definitely legal :D

Hey Mindl3ss, do you know the name of that place in Seaside OR? I'd like to add it to the listing at aurcade.com

Yep, Ultracade is Coin-Op Legal.

I see that FunLand has a Madwave. Was it working? One of the most unreliable piece of modern equipment I have ever seen.

I hear that. Those damn solenoids! I have replaced 3 in the last year on one and 2 on another. Plus the projector/bulbs. Very expensive to upkeep. I would rather have something else. I have seen one with a plasma/lcd screen and it doesn't look very good like that.

They only had a Monopoly pin... but maybe you were thinking of this:

Did you visit the other arcade in Long Beach? The one with the shooting gallery and all of the pins? I hope it is still there...

And, yes, Dodge City. I did visit it, briefly. They had a pretty good selection of pins.

I didn't get to play anything, because we were just walking by, and I poked my head in.

they also had an old EM shooter and a vid, can't remember the name, but it was western themed, and had cacti all over it

I don't remember the name... I think it was just fun corner, or kidz corner or something kinda stupid like that.

They also had another arcade, but I didn't make it to that one. It is much larger, and has a pizza place inside it.

that's it? suck. they had a line of about 10 last time i was down there with some good titles.

the place in Long Beach is called Dodge City; i'm going to try to make a trek down there in the next month or so for kite flying and pinball.
