Arcade1Ups

I went to a newly opened Texas Roadhouse steakhouse in my area this weekend and noticed they had one of those wall-mounted Arcade 1ups in the waiting area.
The joystick was very loose and the buttons seems a little janky already.

I saw this stupid thing at Harrods last month (sitting right next to the $11K generic MAME cabinet). It isn't actually made by A1U, but is the same size & build quality. This JJ Adams person must have some truly in-demand art to justify this nonsense. The price is about $4,300.00 in USD.

Machines I suppose, but these would never be seen in an arcade.
Or not for long if they were because they wouldn't survive.

Craigslist or facebook is where to list these things for sale.
They don't even survive as retail demos. I saw a couple of 1UPs set up in Walmart as floor samples and they were both working. I came back 2 weeks later; they were both dead... I tried to plug them in and troubleshoot them but nothing... I think ESD or a power surge may have gotten them.

OP hasn't been seen on here since 5 days after he started this thread in November, it's no wonder we still hold on to 40+ yr old games. We can't let shit go. Lol

Not Sure If This Is The Right Thread for This, If Not Im sorry.

I don't think anyone's really mad. But it is pretty hilarious how worked up you're getting. Also wtf is an awesome idiot. Is that something new I missed or is it still an oxymoron?
An awesome idiot is someone who doesn't know what an awesome idiot is...
