I know it's kind of a MAMEish question, but has anyone here ever gotten an ArcadeVGA card working with a standard res arcade monitor? I'm trying to get it working with a Wells-Gardner 7302, and nothing shows up at all.

The only thing I can think of is the 1v vs 5v thing. If you did get a standard res monitor working, did you use the amplifier they sell? or maybe a JPAC?

The installation guide (http://www.ultimarc.com/avgainst.html) on thier site seems to indicate that you can just create a VGA to r-g-b-ground-sync cable and it'll work with Wells-Gardner monitors. That's what I did, but I'm not seeing anything at all on the monitor. And yes, I tested the monitor with a game using a Bob Roberts monitor extension cable and it works perfectly.

Any tips?

Never mind. I answered my own question.

All I needed to do was turn the contrast up. But for future reference, if someone is trying to get an Arcade VGA card to work with a homemade VGA to arcade monitor cable and a Wells-Gardner monitor, you need to turn the contrast up.
