I'm a relative newbie to arcade collecting and repair, but I'm very enthusiastic, especially now that I have enough machines to constitute a "collection." However, as I'm getting deeper into electronic repairs, I'm finding myself lacking when it comes to replacement parts. I've put in a few orders to Bob Roberts and gone to Radio Shack for replacement parts such as caps, timers, connectors, etc, but it seems really wasteful to be buying these piecemeal.

Does anybody sell something that's got a whole bunch of caps, resistors, fuses, etc that commonly need to be replaced? Or have any recommendations for local suppliers in the Cleveland area that would be more cost effective than Radio Shack? If nobody sells a kit, does anyone have recommendations for some essential components? Thanks in advance!

Scrap boards - absolute gold mines for parts, same with road kill TVs. I just ordered some TTL chips and some sockets this morning from my usual supplier. Decided to check my order history with them to see when I last had to buy stuff - it was back in 2009. All my parts in in the last 2 years have been from scrap boards.
