Arcade Themed Coffee Table Books

For a coffee table book, Supercade is what you want. I own the hardcover and it is a hefty, colorful, wonderful book. I've not seen the softcover, but for the coffee table you would want the hardcover as it is impressive.

Another book I would recommend is The Ultimate History of Video Games by Steven Kent. This one isn't as well suited to the coffee table, but is a great read and has tons of great content. I have several more books that I like, but these two I love.

It was all over the discount racks at places like Urban Outfitters several years ago.. I think I picked up my copy for like $5-10...

i'll check them out, but wouldn't be suprised if they don't have it. i totally meant to get the i am 8 bit book but put it off and then they didn't have it...

If you guys do go through with this, I'd be happy to write on more modern arcade matters, specifically Japanese and rarer games (I also know a lot about Japan exclusives from the 80s like Tower of Druaga, Phozon, etc). I know enough Virtual On series stuff to fill a book and I'm sort of a 90s nut, unlike many here. I've written such things for fun before and it would be an honor to get to participate in such a project. I don't want any profits, just a copy if it's ever published :)
