For the non-Facebook crowd and other Deep Throat type individuals, here's the skinny...

Join us in the parking lot of Paradise Arcade Shop for a day of all things arcade related Saturday June 5th 2021 as we plan to have a video game, Pinball, console, and what-have-you swap meet!

We'll start setting up around 9:30 in the morning with the intentions of kicking things off around 10 and plan to go until 4 pm or so.

If it looks like we'll be rained out the event will simply be pushed back to the following weekend.

This event is free to all wishing to attend including vendors, buyers, and b.s.-ers looking to talk gaming after a long year in isolation.

We welcome all whom are interested in bringing items for sale including games, cab's, parts, console items, and pretty much anything else related to gaming.

We are planning to provide hotdogs for vendors/sellers and possibly others depending on turnout. Please plan on bringing your own beverages though.

We will have some project games, empty cabinets, and parts on hand from the shop and hope others will bring similar items too.

Feel free use the event group to make requests or note the type of items you plan on bringing for tentative buyers.

You're welcome to share specific items there, but in the spirit of a swap meet, instead maybe just a general overview of items. Again, it's still up to you if'n you'd like to be specific ahead of time!

So's get your junk in the trunk and we hope to see ja all you soon!

Feel free to post suggestions and questions.

Also special thanks to Susan and Bryan Armitage for allowing us the use of their space to host this event!

Oh and Mr. Armitage has kindly committed his recently acquired Aztarac to be on hand for the enjoyment of others!

We hope to have a few other game's for play but the focus will mainly be a swap meet.

I'll be there again. Kids and I had fun last time. I don't know what I have laying around. I think I have a complete, non-working SF2WW PCB and I have a Mortal Kombat T-unit. Probably have a bunch of coin mechs and a couple of coin doors. I have an extra owl eye door if I get on the stick and get the one back in my Asteroids. I kinda want to pick up a Wrestlemania PCB and put it on a switcher in my War Gods cabinet, so I would definitely trade if anyone had one they wanted to get rid of.

Seems like Minneapolis is the place to avoid this time of year...
If it was north Minneapolis or even downtown, I would agree. I haven't even so much as driven through downtown Minneapolis in over a year and I have no plans to in the near future. The shop is in the very southeast of Minneapolis though, so far southeast that it almost isn't even Minneapolis anymore.

I may go, but I'll be coming in from east Wisconsin. Usually a good turnout? I have a warehouse haul of random control panels that I don't think are worth shipping but would be worth loading up to sell for cheap. Maybe a couple monitors/tubes. I have a *ton* of Tandy Color Computer stuff if anyone is into that I could definitely bring it.

This will be the third or fourth iteration of the swap meet and turnout has been different for all of them.

Last fall saw the most vendors yet, but with covid, the general attendance was fairly small.

We're hoping that with the event outside, people having been vaccinated, covid restrictions loosening, and collectors looking to get out and acquire parts/projects, that the turnout will be sufficient as well as beneficial to all whom stop by!

We'd love to have you bring items! Unfortunately I wish I had a better idea of what to expect as well...

To make note, all are welcomed to bring whatever they feel could be great swap meet fodder, including records, pc stuff, console items, and pretty much anything else you'd like to drag down and attempt to hock!

Heck, we should probably reach out to folks like 2DCON and others to see if'n they'd like to have a presence as well! So please feel free if you have a related event you'd like to pimp or please share if you know someone who does!

Useful comments and suggestions are always welcome!

Thank you!

Bump for the event coming up this weekend.

Also a note that items people are bringing can be found on the Facebook event page, however I believe you'll need to log in to see them and be part of the discussion.

Hello fellow collectors. I am looking for an Amp high voltage and deflection board. Let me know if you have anything.

Thanks to all whom shopped, sold, B.S.ed, and helped make the event an AWESOME success!!!

We're hoping to host a fall event this year, ideally around the time of MOMA's yearly auction.

I wouldn't go near that area if they were giving away free cabs every 5 minutes. Hope those attending are safe and remember the second amendment.
