This is the plan. Get your ass to Akihabara, and go to the Hilton Hotel and show the fake Brubaker I.D. at the front desk, that's all there is to it. Just do as I tell you. You can nail that son of a bitch that fucked you and me. I'm counting on you, old buddy. Don't let me down!

Sega Arcade in Tokyo... Initial D Stage 5 inside real cars = epic. What city are you going to? The Nintendo museum is also cool. They've been in business since the 1800's as a traditional Japanese playing card company.

If you're going to Tokyo, there's a game center on pretty much every corner. I stopped in at least 50 game centers when I was there. Akihabara is fun to just walk around, too. I liked going to Super Potato in Akiba, which was ~6 floors of console gaming stuff.

Dammit, I want to go back.

Hey Mike! I would contact ataritoobin. He's a mastermind when it comes to Japanese culture and video games. I've learned a lot from just a few conversations I've had with him already about Japanese games and arcade artwork. :)

Sega and Namco both have arcades that are fairly easy to run into. Here are a couple pics from when I was there ~2 years ago:

If you see one, try out the Taiko Drum Master game:

The Pachinko parlor's are super loud, and usually pretty smokey, but you can find non-smoking ones.

When you hear a crunch, you're there. Now, pull it out. Be careful! That's my head, too.

Sorry to deviate from arcade slightly, but a few other sights in Nagoya.

We have one of these at the Space Needle arcade in Gatlinburg. My gf loves this game.

I have the PS2 version, and both DS versions, but the Arcade version just plain rocks.

Find an arcade with a Castlevania Ardade game and beat it for me. At least play it. Report back, so that I may live vicariously through you. And I think there are stores that specialize in old console games, old arcade boards/machines/parts, and laserdisc dealers. That's what I would be on the prowl for. A pc engine copy of dracula X, some rare asian pcbs, and some super rare anime. But hey that's just me. Go nuts, have a ball, and take lots of pics for the rest of us loosers.
