Anyone have a repository of arcade sound effects? In particular the sounds when you are entering your initials for Joust? Would be cool to use these as alert tones on phones.

I'm looking for same too, I found some from zedge app on googlleplay.... some files are good quality and some aren't so gotta try them to find best sounding.. I got some from super Mario bro's 1/2/3, duck hunt and Zelda off the app

I downloaded a bunch a few years ago to put into my doorbell. Right now I have the Pac-man start-up music play. I have Tron, Frogger, Super Mario, and a bunch others for it. I just did a search through google and a few other sites to find them. Try old MAME sound samples.

I have quite a few.
I'll post under my free download section on site this weekend of found quick enough. There's a few places I may have it, so could take a couple days...

Quicker than I thought.
They are 260mg total in 3 files though....
Will have to see if I have room for them! May have to break down into 16mb pieces

Do you have a gmail account? Throw em up on google drive. I could host them for you if not on my webserver.

What kind of doorbell you got that allows that?

Here's some (youtube links are on the site)

There are lots of records from the 80s with game effects but they are mostly rare, japan only releases and are expensive.

If you have Joust you could always grab the sound lines off the board or on the way to the speaker and record directly off of the game. Most of the video game sounds available seem to come from the Nintendo or other console ports rather than the arcade versions.

I think you are required to have Berzerk sounds for that doorbell. Intruder Alert! Intruder Alert! Stop the humanoid!

Or you could wire one up from the interior with an exterior speaker so that when the unwanted solicitors come to the door you can surprise them.

Sinistar would be perfect for that as well...

Tell me more about this doorbell...
