It's Friday and I'm bored at work. There are actually a lot of arcade games that were ported to NES. The only two NES ports I can think of off the top of my head that are better than the originals are Ninja Gaiden and Double Dragon II.

....

Cool thread, but I listed other consoles also. I always thought Donkey Kong was interesting, especially all the variations of it.

TI version was awesome.... It included all the levels!

Yep! The Atari 400/800 had them all as well.

The two I mentioned I feel are better than their arcade counterparts in gameplay.

Though, Ninja Gaiden was just an entirely different game on the NES. Much darker and more of platformer than a beatemup.

This thread is like comparing Johnny Depp to Skeet Ulrich. They are just too similar to note any discernible differences.

I think there are plenty of discernible differences. Maybe not as extreme as 2600 or Colecovision, but they're there.

I think it's cool seeing screenshots side by side to see the little details that are different.

Excuse me for starting (copying) a thread out of boredom. I forgot no one does that in here. :D

P.S. Johnny and Skeet do look alike. Though, I think Skeet is trying to be like Johnny more than the other way around. He probably dresses in a Jack Sparrow costume and makes appearances at birthday parties.

No worries, I've just been trying to find a relevant place to post those comparison shots of Johnny and Skeet.
