Arcade room build finished!

Where is the carpet from? I want some.

Got it from astro carpet mills. I have 12 feet by 25 feet left over if you really want the pattern! You could only get this pattern with order of 50 feet or more, so i bought double of what i needed to get it

Inspired by this game? (took me way too long to make the connection ...)

I was thinking it looks more Super Sprint. :D

BTW, the room looks friggin awesome.
Like everybody else said, post some picture of it with games in it!

It's gonna look sweet when it's full of lit up games!

Great job!

:D

I got the inspiration for the stripes from this pic I found on google. I looked up retro arcade pics, and these pics popped up. Thought they gave the room a retro 80's look. The colors are based off of TRON! Paint matched from the images below...even the dark blue base color

I want to do this in my basement but don't really know where to start.

Are there any frame/wiring tutorials?

I don't wanna pay a buttload of $$$ for someone else to do it.

I don't want to hijack the OP's thread, because his room is amazing looking!
However, my wife and I had no framing experience whatsoever, and we did our basement. We got a book from Lowes and went for it. It turned out nice. Not perfect, but very nice for 2 people with no experience (in my opinion). We paid a licensed person to do the electric, as they added a subpanel and that was way over my skill level. The framing, drywall, and flooring were done by us. It's nto as hard as I thought, just took time. PM me if you have any other questions

Yes, SS is a good one too.
But TRON? I don't associate the color "yellow" with TRON. More neon blue and red ... but, of course, I'm wrong ... LOL

Still, looks nice. Will look nicer with the games. :)

Those first two pics you got your inspiration from is a member here. I can't remember his name but he is located out in the San Francisco area, if I remember right.

Finally got the games down into the arcade! I have 3 still in the garage that need to be repaired or restored. I am making a separate thread with the room with the games in it. It will be called "Arcade room finished with games..pics!!"
