That one was at coinop.org I used to use it too but the website owner stopped access to non-members..

I tried to register but coin-op.org is no longer taking any new members it seems,as i have emailed the owner several times asking to register with no response...Talk about ignorant.......http://www.coinop.org/

Well Success!
I have a few of the TMS2716's from a SI that work but I wanted to do the Single rom hack.
All of the images I download for some reason will not work. This may be a hack problem I don't know yet. But I figured if I could read mine that worked I should be able to burn them to a 2764 and have a known working setup. that will help me figure out what I may have messed up on with the mod.

I followed the directions to a T but still had NO joy.
I first converted the board to standard 2716 used the test rom to verify board all good there, then I made a 28 pin socket with 1,26,27,28 tied to +5, Pin 2 to A12 and pin 23 to A11, then ground pin 20. Nothing but bars, not seeming to boot.

Not sure how this qualifies as "Success", but OK...
It also kinda looks like a new topic...

What directions did you follow to a T? These: http://cambridgearcade.dyndns.org/?q=node/72 Or something else?

How did you strap S6?

When you say "then ground pin 20," are you referring to pin 20 on the original 24-pin socket, or pin 20 on the new 28-pin socket?

LOL, success meaning that my adapter I made works, because reading it then using that webpage yields Invaders.h rom information.
I had nothing to compair it to to see if I got a good read, now I do. Thanks for that page.

And on my rant, Yes I grounded pin 20 on the 28 Pin socket. S6 is tied to A10?? I think. I have to look again. IIRC thats pin 21 on the 28 pin socket or pin 19 on the 24.

"Mame -romident blah.rom" works if you have just the Mame binaries I believe (ie. don't need the roms).

yeah, sometimes is just easier to use 1 mouse and not look for that Bluetooth keyboard to type something out, also gives you the fluke sigs and crc of the rom.

someday i will add more features :)

but it gets to much use for me to take down, and i like the simplicity of the site..

as long as i have internet at home, that site will be online :)
