Arcade Project Video

The only thing it's missing is a way to secure the second Jamma board to the cabinet, as we ran out of the little 'T hinges', or whatever they are called, that came with the Simpsons board.

I'm also not sure if I want to cut in two more joystick holes to make it a 4 player just yet..

Your " restoration" is truly one of a kind, would you be willing do a run of these? I will be first in line to pre order. What would the projected price be?

I love the sandals too, there's nothing better than wood working in beach wear.

Hey, it was summer when we built the prototype. And 90 degrees to boot.... What would you be wearing? :)

Best I can do is post the specs on it if anyone is truly interested.

Hellcade chronicle...

j/k!

Do you plan on making it an enclosed unit, or are you going to do a showcase design?

Nope, that's it. I ripped apart the old Wizard of Wor Cabinet that the electronics where previously encased in. I wanted something light weight, portable, and easy to bring in should a party be going on with allot of kids present. Easy way to keep them occupied.

I love seeing all the older gentleman cutting, sanding and painting. Looks like a family project.

I work in an electrical contractor building, so I made sure to make use of all the 'talent' that I Had. If you had me on a sander or circular saw, I'd be missing a few digits now ;).

And I guess restoration wouldn't be a proper title, since it's a from scratch project. Maybe I should rename it build 1.... or Prototype...

Nicely edited video - background music, transitions, etc. I'm just wondering with something of this magnitude why aren't you posting this over at BYOC? They have more of a community for these type of homebrew cabs. Not trying to be unwelcoming, just most of us guys here (IMHO) are more into the restoring and preserving of classics (some recreating as well), instead of total "homebrew" cabs using pcs and such.
I like the initiative though - as we all have to start somewhere. I just fear this project may get slammed more here than "constructively criticized" - as ive seen in the past.
Good luck with your project.

You know, I thought my previous replies where a tad strong sensing total sarcasm, so I edited them down a bit. Nice to know my sarcasm meter wasn't totally off the wall.

I just posted it here figuring people might find it interesting. Also posted on BYOC.
