Awe shucks.... you AZ boys get to have all the fun.... seems like I'm supposed to be down there again sometime about now.... can't remember exactly why at the moment.... something will jog my memory soon.... I think 🤔...

That's me in the blue shirt... Eyes welded to the 4900 med res chassis I still haven't figured out. And also a Frogger nightmare that @toledoflyer and @Arcadenut and @jrok were helping me with. Went from completely toast to PCB working, wiring problems fixed, monitor dead, power supply repaired, almost thereism!!!

And then I played bass early in the morning in a band the next morning. Life is good.

Bah! Those photos are staged!

The benches are too clean for any real work to have happened...ever.
Plus those people are obviously professional models, just paid to look good while impersonating real arcade collectors.

Big shoutout to Apollo and Serina though. :)

These pics are awesome, thanks for sharing! Love the classic Battlestar Galactica episodes running on the TV in the background too!

An idea for the future: Perhaps those who can't attend a repair party in general due to distance, etc - How about we organize a virtual repair party on Zoom? I've done it on the past with friends from all over the country. We all work on stuff while on the call. If someone needs help, we can pin that person's screen and help troubleshoot. Schematics can be presented onscreen and/or called out for the person to diagnose, etc. Tons of fun!

Let me know and I can start a separate thread as to not de-rail this one.

Thanks that would be great. We have a 75 inch TV with a computer and web camera attached to it in the repair area that would be great for a live feed.

Ha ha! At first I thought you were talking about repairing the 75 inch TV on the Live feed, which I found strange in a classic arcade forum. Then I re-read it more closely: You were saying instead that you have a 75 inch to watch it on while you work on repairing. 🙃

I.E. we'd probably be able to count your nose hairs while zoomchatting witcha.

We are going to have a repair party this weekend 10/11 at the Chandler warehouse if you are looking for some help with repairs or just wanted to stop by and help out other collector's.
We always have Food, Drinks and lots of snacks for everyone. We start at noon and go until @Arcadenut gets tired around 2 am.
If you have any questions or need the address, please contact @BigDogs or @Arcadenut.
