Hey,

Sorry for the late-ish notice (as usual)... I've got an arcade party coming up on Saturday November 12th, starting @ noon, in Manassas Park, VA. Everyone is welcome to come... pizza and soda will be provided, and alcohol is welcome, but BYOB. The party usually goes until ~8PM or so, so you can come early, late, or whenever.

You can see pics and a video of the arcade here: http://www.projectvb.com/arcade/ (though there have been a few small changes, and some games that haven't made their way into the basement yet). One of these days I'll get around to updating the site.

Drop me a message if you'd like to come, and I'll send you my address/contact info.

Great... looking forward to it!

Perfect date! My wife gets paid right before that, so gas won't be an issue. :D

Oh, and disregard the question in the PM.... I see that you stated "noon"......

Not sure if I can make this one. Big fundraiser going on at my kiddos school that weekend and I'm sure I'll have to be helping out. Gonna try though if I can sneak away

I'm working that day, but it's in the morning, so I should be able to make it in the afternoon..looking forward to it.

Sounds good... looking forward to hanging out with the KLOV crowd again!

No prob, I'll catch up with you at another!

+1 for UHF in one of the pics on the site. :)
That's actually the Dire Straits Money For Nothing music video I think you're referring to. ;)

I'll be there. Thanks for opening up your house again!

I'm the MAME guy who came to your last one and I'm still a bit in awe of your setup.

And, coincidentally, I just got two MAME Spinners, a SpinTrak from Ultimarc and a TurboTwist2 from GroovyGameGear. I've been wondering how they spin/feel compared to Tron and Tempest spinners, which one is best for which, and how to tune them best match the real thing. This is a perfect opportunity for me to do that, so I'll bring them with me and see how close (or not) they are to the real thing.

I'll probably get there around 12:30.

Always enjoy stopping by and will likely be there early afternoon. No crash on the front porch anymore though :( .

Yeah, hopefully you can get a good feel for them. I think my Tron and Tempest spinners are in good shape, and feel like they should.

I swear, I'm never ever using "google directions" again. Ever!

Got lost as fuck, because it didn't tell me to turn at one particular intersection. Fortunately, we only went an hour out of our way, and I wasn't alone.

DogP, I didn't see you as we were leaving... but from my wife and I; Thank you very much for having us! We had a great time!! She only played one game of Galaga, but she put a high score on it above 20,000. Considering she hadn't played the game in at least 25 years, that's not bad.

I did suck at Donkey Kong.... and a few other games I played, but Berzerk was the highlight for me. I haven't played that one in years, except for the Atari version(which is damned good as a port, I might add). Gorf took a few games to come back to me, and I honestly wish we hadn't gotten lost, so I could have had more gaming time.

You've got a great place, and I'm very impressed with your collection. Even my wife was looking around like, "Holy crap, they're everywhere!" :D

Buffet- It was great seeing you again, and I really appreciate the advice you gave me! Check your PMs, as I'm going to send pics of those juke boxes to you. I'll hit the owner up on Facebook, and let him know what's up. As I said, he's a good friend of mine... he was really like a father to me as a teenager, which I needed, as mine died when I was barely a year old.

no prob Iggy, it was good seeing you again.
we will get you all fixed up on your harnesses.

thanks to DogP and L, for a wonderful party, it was fun seeing you all again.

Peace

Thanks for making it out to the party... glad you all had a good time.

Tim: Thanks for flipping all my toilet paper and paper towel rolls the wrong way. ;)

Sounds like the toilet paper fairy came over to help you cat proof your house.
