Hi all,

I've been in this hobby over 16 years and I don't think I've ever had an arcade party, and since my collecting days are just about over (yeah right) I figure it's time to finally have one, and rather than tracking down all the local's email addresses, I'll just post this here.

Saturday, April 21st, 6pm - 11pm+

I very much look forward to attending. email is on my sig, but I'll email you too to officially RSVP.

>Showdown - major bummer that none of the several (8 I think) Exidy boards worked so that you could get your Exidy multi going.

>Demolition Derby 4p - This was one of the first games I ever bought many years ago. Was working when I got it an an Indy auction, but I immediately made it a project that I never finished and finally sold, without ever playing it. Looking forward to see if I like the game (and made a mistake selling it) or not. Hope it's a good one.

You've got a heck of a collection of games - I like. It's nice to meet locals and this will be my first opportunity on the video arcade side. Here's hoping you get good turnout for your generous offer. I'll PM you for the addy.

Put me down as a mabye it depends if im not sick by then and if the mrs doesent have other plans for me. Its been awhile since ive been able to go to a fellow klovers get-togther. I miss you guys.

Thanks for the local invite. There's a possibility I may be able to make this. I'll be sending you a PM shortly.

I had a great time, thanks. It was great to meet people face to face and to play vector games (other then tempest) that I've never seen in person.

So you are done with collecting and managed to add an Asteroids Deluxe between the time of your initial post and the party....

It was great to meet some new people and see some familiar faces. Thanks again for coming!

I felt bad for Joe M, who went through all the trouble to come out just to play 4-player Demolition Derby, but by the time he got here the game had overheated and the graphics were freaking out. Same thing happened to EDOT (MCR games are wonderful, aren't they?).

Zookeeper freaked out as usual (power cycling fixes it) and the lower backglass GI of WhoDunnit went out, but otherwise the games held up surprisingly well.

A few other highlights:

Zud and my friend Jeremy playing Cruis'n USA and ending the race in a TIE: both crossing the line at 1:40.83. Never seen a tie on that game before.

Every game of Eliminator 4-player

Five of us sitting around listening to Jeff tell stories til nearly 2am

Well, I had collected that one *before* the party announcement, just wasn't sure if I'd have it restored in time for the party.

About 5 hours before the party started, its monitor went out. Replaced the H1812 HV diode and had it running again.

Thanks to you, I'll be spending the day burning new Asteroids Deluxe EPROMS and repairing the WhoDunnit GI lights :)

Eliminator was so cool, I was really surprised that it was a fun 1 player game as well as a 4 player game.
I had never even heard of it before seeing your two!

The tie was funny as hell. The chat until 2am was good as well. Love hearing stories about arcade related stuff.
