*** Party date is set for Jan 29 at 5pm ***

Prizes to be awarded to any who can beat my high scores. And trust me, some of the vid ones are cake to beat :) The pins might be a little harder. Prizes might be new pinballs, buttons, any spare parts I have lying around.

For those of you coming or interested, PM me and I'll send off information/directions.

Pop/snacks will be provided. BYOB :)

After having a few people hint at me to have an arcade party, I thought I'd give it a shot and see if anyone here is interested.

Being so close to Super Bowl sunday, I'm not sure what dates work best..

Days that work out are:

Friday evening Jan 28
Saturday afternoon/evening Jan 29
Sunday afternoon evening Jan 30

I figure best to skip SBS weekend of Feb 6

Then the same time spots for Feb 11,12,13 and so on after that.

While I don't have a huge collection, there are a few classics and several pins:

Vids: Asteroids, Spy Hunter, Mr Do! cocktail, NeoGeo 6 slot, Omega Race, Gyruss, Bubbles, Gorf, Gauntlet Legends, Ms PacMan, Vindicators, Moon Patrol. Also have 2x Cruis'n world linked and 2x Rush the Rock linked.

Pins: Theatre Of Magic, Dungeons and Dragons, Comet, Game Show, Stargate, Rapid Fire, Lost World, Terminator 2, Gorgar

Misc: Wizard Gumball, 6 Skill stop machines, MegaTouch 7000, JVL Itouch8, Dinoscore and a Crane machine (Clean Sweep)

Lots of easy scores to beat to get your name on the high score board ;)

So any interest?

I'd be up for it, I'm a little over an hour away (depending on where you are in GR). At this point, date doesn't matter to me.

So far Saturday Jan 29 seems to be the best date. Thinking around 5-6pm for the start time.

I'm located near Coit and Plainfield Zip code of 49525 for those that want to map quest it.

Yeah, 2-3 hours is a bit far. I always feel the same way about detroit get togethers.

Although, wow, Saint John, IN isn't that close either, 3 hours!

There is lots of floor space and sort of a quest room :) (Never mind a few games stuffed in it as well)

I'm in Osceola, IN but might be up for it. I'll have the check the calendar.

Not a huge collection? It looks great to me!

I don't know how you feel about a "new guy" showing up, but I'd love to meet everyone and do some gaming! Hopefully you guys won't mind sharing some advice on the whole arcade game restoration hobby. I don't have any arcade games at the moment, but I'm anxious to get into it.

**A few minutes later***
I just thought to check with my wife (the planner) about January 29th, and it looks like we have something "on the calendar" already. I can't make it after all. :(

Nerbflong, if you have another Arcade Party sometime soon count me in! Feel free to PM me - I live in the Kentwood area.

Welcome to KLOV D-Roy!

And certainly new people are welcome. A shame the date doesn't work out for you. Tell the wife something more important has come up ;)

The date isn't set in stone, but seems like thats the day though.

I drive past that intersection every day on the way to work. At the Qdoba mexican grill down by beltline.

I can usually get saturdays off, so could probably be there.

I have a teenage son (13) that would want to come along with me. Would that be ok or is this an adult only party?

Oooo! I'll do my best to come out (we just had a baby, so available time is rather unpredictable) - would love to play your games and see how Stargate is fairing. I do miss that pin something awful :)

Love Qdoba! Don't eat there as often as I like. Hope you can make it!

My brother might be going and if he comes he'll be bringing his 3 year old possibly :) So I dont think its a problem. I don't mind. Its nice to see the younger generation interested in these classic games! My nephew doesn't really play the games, but loooves to stuff tokens in the games.

Congrats on the little one!

I love Stargate. It gets a lot of love here :)

Holy collection envy!

I'm in lansing, and have a console oriented collection with a stash of arcade sticks for an army. I'd love to make it but alas I'm laid up in the hospital with a collapsed lung :/ (surgery is done, but recovering is a bitch)

I'm waiting on a naomi mvc2 kit from mecha187 to finally start my arcade hardware collection, and found this forum from his post on sega-naomi.com. It's nice to see this many michigan folk on here. I'll definitely be lurking around these parts more often.

Now I know why your arcade/games look familiar! I bought a 4900 monitor off from you that you pulled out of a Moon Patrol. Completely forgot that was you, heh.

Sounds like the party is going to be a blast. I have a b-day party for my 5 yr old that day, otherwise I would try to make it. I have to go to GR soon to pick up a bunch of parts, but don't think I can make it over in time to get them and still attend after my little one's party, so have fun!

Sounds like fun, too bad you're just a little bit outside my travel limit ;)

I'm glad to see the Omega Race alive and kicking!
