Arcade On Wheels

arcade on wheels

Looks great, but maybe add some idea where he is located and will travel to. There is nothing about what part of the country he is in. By doing a search of the 413 area code it appears he is in Massachusetts, but should have that info somewhere on the site.

we are the largest mobile arcade in new england!

Very cool idea. I remember many years ago a trailer that was at a carnival and it was loaded with classic arcade games. Any classics get hauled around in that trailer?

Thanks!! working on a new trailer now that will have some classics in it for sure. Will post pics when its done.

A lot of folks,(even me)confuse the SW 'Trilogy' with it's prequel game. :v)

Regardless I really admire the concept, an hope for the best.
hmmmm nope, but i will tell sleekstacker and maybe he will find one!! nice game and thanks for positive feedback.

Hey.... I saw you guys at the Belchertown fair last weekend. I thought that truck looked familiar.
Hey, Thanks for checking us out. Hopefully we will be back next year with more trailers and more improvements!!

I was actually considering doing something very similar. Basicly, after the Seattle Pinball and Gameroom Show this year I needed to rent an enclosed truck in order to get some games home; free game pick up and delivery is one of the perks of the show but I am too far out in the middle of nowhere to take advantage. So I rented a 14' box truck from uHaul. It worked great and I could have easily fit 12 upright machines in the truck. After the show I looked into buying a used truck of the same size but I really need more justification to buy something that big and the idea of a small traveling arcade is still the highest on my list. I could hit the local festivals (there is one every weekend for about three months straight every summer), the local demo derby (two blocks from my house), and maybe even try out the local race track.
Sounds like you need a box truck at at so you dont have to go to U-haul and pay alot. Yes a box truck would be perfect for some uprights and you can fit alot of them, but keep in mind just like any biz the cost add up fast, generator, gas, carpet etc.. But you will never know if you dont try.

Is that a Crime Patrol ALG laser disc game in the foreground in the 5th picture? Nice...
Yes it is, with a 6-gun select next to it.

Sounds familiar. Several years ago, I encountered a couple of games that were used in a similar manner. The guy who owned them used them mainly for small kids. They were a Pac-Man and a Stargate that had been cut off below the coin doors. Yes, this is the infamous "half a Pac-Man" that some of you may have heard of. Yeah, well, anyway, pretty awful but this thread reminded me of it.
LOL, we really were not trying to remind people of half pac-mans, the trailer actually has Very Nice Games including a Robot.

Somewhere, from the 1980's I have sketches that a friend of mine and I did, mocking up a Tractor Trailer as a mobile arcade. Never amount to anythign (obviously).

This is way cool, and I hope they do really well!

Is the trailer air conditioned? I would certainly hope so Also, is there more than one exit from the trailer (for liability reasons)?

Nice work and again, I hope they do well!
There are actually a few mobile arcades in the us now, we wont be the first or the last. Its also climate controlled (has to be).Cool in the summer, warm in the winter,Parties Year round!!
