Anyone know of a locksmith in the Detroit area that has experience replacing/repairing cylinder locks on arcade machines? I have two machines which have locks that froze up or are out of alingment (thus not allowing the key to be inserted). Any references would be greatly appreciated.

Why would anyone pay for a guy to come out and fix this. Get a drill and drill the locks out and buy some new locks for 4$

+2. It doesn't make any sense to have somebody come mess with it. Drill them out and get new locks. You can find them at practically any hardware store.

Home Depot sells "mailbox locks" that are a perfect replacement. :)

Don't buy the ones at Lowe's. The last time I did I was disappointed as they were a slightly different diameter.

Also, try a squirt of WD40 first. that sometimes loosens up the tumblers etc. But yeah otherwise just drill them out.

Yep, you can drill it out in a few seconds and put a in $4 lock in it's place. If it's stiff just use some graphite.

Ok - drilling it is. I had never done it before, but I will give it a try. Thanks for the advice.

What games are these?

On the Midway games you can remove the vent/grips and access the tumbler on the lock with no drilling involved.
