I was watching Jaws tonight and didn't remember there were a few vids in one scene.
Most I couldn't make out but the one I did was a Killer Shark.

Remeber this was the summer of '76. More EM games than video games. The one you see the kid playing looks like a shark hunting EM game. Does anyone out there know if this game really exsisted, or was it made just for the movie?

Yes Dan that is exactly the cab it was in.
It was a legitimate game not just made for the movie like Starfighter.
I knew it was an EM game as I played a lot of those as a kid.
It was either play an EM or pinball.

Oh I remember that game :)

One of my favorite arcades, back in the 80:s, had some of those mechanical games mixed with the new stuff, and I played it a couple of times.

It was kinda easy, as there was one place on the screen where you could hold your aim and, if you timed it right, easily take them all out without any gun movement at all :)

That ghostly "hologram" image of the sharks is one of the strongest memories from that period of my life hanging at the arcade, and I wish I could have a chance to try it again. But most of these old games are extremly hard to find here in sweden, even among collectors.

Here´s a vid I found on the tube:

I bought a battlezone off a guy with one of these.

He reduced the price because I got the Killer shark going for him. The projector globe lamp holder had an open circuit.

He had tears in his eyes, as it hadn't worked for 5 years plus.

Win Win I say
