I'll go first. Have you ever bought a part you needed for a game you no longer even own?

Yes, within the last two weeks. The kicker? The game I bought the part for I sold in 2006. :001_ssuprised::)

I tire-kicked the other day for a Spy Hunter CP...

I honestly have no idea why I bit, other than I used to seriously love Spy Hunter. And the seller was selling for a great price. But. I have no SH. Or room for a SH. :(

Have you ever started a restoration only to be distracted once it's opperational and played it instead of working on it?

I have. My red tent. When I got it, I had two games for it, one I was more interested in that the other. I pulled one side apart and started cleaning it up. But, once I got the correct color buttons for the two CP and put them back together with fresh paint, one side sits untouched (other than the redone CP) and the other side sits in pieces (again, with exception to the CP). Both sides play however, and I have more interesting games now for it.

Have you ever hid between two games to make out with a girl, when you were supposed to be working?

(skating rink, 1979 - oh yeah)

I bought the side art for Escape From Planet of Robot Monsters, then bought the Manual, had them shipped to the UK, only realised later that the game uses Hall Effect sticks and I was not going to convert my Jamma cab sticks, as I still use it for my Jamma stuff. So its now being converted to Klax and the EFTPOTRM was sold on last week after 3 years of sitting on it.
