Can we compile a list here? Of all my games, only the attract mode sounds for Popeye seem to be enabled. Scratch that, I noticed my Tempest was making noises in attract mode this morning, so that's 2. I want all my games to have attract mode sounds. Help a brother out. My arcade needs a wall of noise. Which games have sounds, or music, or both sounds and music in attract mode?

Interesting I didn't realize Tempest has a setting for attract mode sound. I guess I've never messed with my settings much. I feel the same way though...I like my games to have attract mode sound on for the most part. It can definitely add to the ambiance.

I bet the list of games that don't have attract mode sound would be shorter. Get a manual and check your dip switch settings.

I can't think of a single arcade game that I have run across that did NOT have attract mode sound as an option. I am sure one exists but I haven't seen it or don't recall it.

IIRC... it says stuff randomly when in attract mode. The "intruder alert" would get belted out once in a while...

That's what I thought. Everybody mentions the 'coins detected in pocket' blurb, but I only heard it once when I turned the machine on. It never randomly says it like I was hoping. I like detecting random things in the pockets of my 'guests'.

You could take the fun out of fucking. Don't you have some random newsfeed to post? Crotchety old bastard.

I'll have to look for the Tempest dip switch to turn that on. DK if you have the D2K/HSS kit. Mappy. I think Spy Hunter but I haven't tried to enable it yet so I could be wrong.

You could also add Arcade Ambience mp3's to your game room set up. I'm planning to do that.

I don't think Pac/Ms Pac have attract sound do they? Galaga has a little bit when it's explaining how to play, but then it goes away during the regular gameplay demo.

Attract sounds:

Super Pac Man
Galaga
Star Trek Strategic Operations Simulator
Stargate (makes noise once in a while)

Yeah that one never gets old.

It's great, isn't it?

Are you telling me DKJR has attract mode sound? DK3 as well? Me didn't know that.

Actually, I think those two don't - just went to www.crazykong.com and looked at dipswitch settings.

So, add 2 to the list of no attract sound. Still a shorter list than those that do have attract sound.
