Arcade Games and Corners

I think I prefer the "run a row to the corner" method too. But what about sticking a cockpit like your PP in there?

I voted for cockpits in the corner earlier in this thread, but I've come to realize it traps players in there if there's someone playing the upright right next to it. If (probably "when") I get a couple more games, I will probably have to do it, though. It's still a great space saver.

Phet, I don't mean angled. I mean one side of the cockpit flat against the wall. Gibbous' concern is the one concern I have as well. It all depends on the ratio of arcade games to players typically is at your parties. If the percentage of games being played at any one time isn't too high, I think it would work well for you. I'd also suggest sticking the game that gets the least amount of attention at your parties next to it to minimize the chance of someone being trapped or having to carefully squeeze in/out.

You mean next to one of the walls with a space mural on it? Holy shit, that would block the glory of the Terrafirma view we are blessed with here in the Outer Limits.

Phet, I take it you didn't get in on the burgertime cpo's when this old game had them?

Oh, I have one, but I see no reason to change it yet. It really isn't that bad, and I haven't decided how far I wanna go with restoring this one.

Phet that space theme is awesome ! Altered Beast is not worthy to be in there , how the hell did he get in there .

Ahahahahahahaha, it isn't even an Altered beast anymore. What a sore thumb, eh? It is a nine in one multi jamma now. It was to be a placeholder for a true classic when I was first setting the room up, I just haven't yet moved my Tempest down there to take it's place (3 months later).

Yeah having him in the lineup detracts from the pure Awesomeness . How many games can you fit in the room ? Does the space pictures glow with the black light ?

7 games fills er up, and yes, the black lights do some pretty awesome things in here. I need more of them though.

So, how did you handle your corners?!??!

I am wondering if I should rethink this non-corner next to Tron. I might be able to get a game or two more in if I turn Bubbles at an angle towards the TRON, put another game at an angle next to BurgerTime, move Tapper down, then stick a game next to Tapper. Make sense? I hate corners!

Perhaps you could check post #34? WTF?

What I meant was, put the cockpit in place of the q-bert (leaving the tutankham).

You mean in the corner, parallel to the wall that is perpendicular to the wall Q*bert was originally on? Hmmmm, sounds good, but would there be enough room? Anyone have quick access to the length of a Pole Position cockpit?

Phet, didn't you have a Pole Position cockpit in your gameroom? As someone else also suggested, a sitdown or cockpit helps to merge that space nicely.
