Hello, saw this online a couple days ago and wondered if any of you guys knew anything about this upcoming show in Wisconsin? It's called WAMO, as seen at http://www.wamo.net/events.cfm?etid=6

Just wondering if it would be something an Indy company like ours would benifit from attending? Or NOT? :)

If the link drops then this is what it says

2010 WAMO Annual Conference & Trade Show
June 23 - 24, 2010
Join fellow WAMO members for their annual conference and trade show June 23-24 at the Country Springs Hotel, Waukesha. Once again the conference registration fee will be waived for WAMO members and their employees. Deadline for golf is June 8; for fishing Monday, June 14.

Wednesday activities will include Nagawaukee Golf $42 (meet at the course--first tee time at 8 AM), Lake Michigan Fishing $100 (meet in the hotel lobby at 6:00 AM for transportation to the McKinley Marina to depart at 7:00 AM), and a 3:00 PM reception at the hotel.

Technician Training both days from 9 AM to 4 PM: (1) Repair of Pyramid and ICT Bill Acceptors; (2) Technique of Wire Speakers; and (3) Monitor Repair by Randy Fromme/Ray Holdren. Technicians must bring bill acceptors and FLAT SCREEN monitors that need repair. Wednesday monitor repair will be a lecture, Thursday will be hands on.

The Miller Park dinner and game are full with 240 registrants. Regrettably we can accept no more. Call the WAMO office to be placed on a waiting list in case someone cancels. A late night hospitality room will be provided back at the hotel.

Thursday will include exhibits of trade members, valuable seminars on current issues affecting the industry, special guest AMOA President Gary Brewer, a membership meeting, election, silent and live auctions, and presentation of the C.S. Pierce Award. Spouse tour of Ten Chimneys (11 AM includes box lunch and transportation).

Lodging reservations can be made at the Country Springs 262-547-0201. Ask for the WAMO block rate: $99 standard single/double without water park passes; $109 with water park passes. $139 executive suite without water park passes, $149 with water park passes. $179 governor suite without water park passes; $189 with water park passes. Reservations received after May 23 will be provided on a space available.

If you want to be noticed by operators and distributors in the industry than one of the major trade shows is a good way to go. The next one is the AAMA Distributor Gala which is scheduled for July 27th-30th, info is here > http://www.coin-op.org/

Beyond that your next best bet is going to be IAAPA which is November in Orlando, FL, after that it's Amusement Expo in Vegas next March.

That's great news, the Fun Co guys make some great pedestal cabinets and I know they make a lot of cabs for different arcade makers.

I hope to make it to IAAPA, it would be great to finally play WFD Arcade there.

EDIT: What happened to the last post with those links to how things went at WAMO?

Already have the story on Arcade Heroes. :)

Hopefully I can make it to IAAPA this year (it was easier when it was in Vegas last year as that's much closer to me) and check the game out.
