Arcade Game [Roc'n Rope] - $50 (Catlin, IL)

Damn it too far into IL for me. Believe it or not that is on my wanted list. One of my childhood arcade games. Was in the back of a 7-11, 1 block from my house. Oh well.

Well I contacted them. I hope it's a non collector and may not know the issue and could be a quick fix. I have so many memories of spending all my allowance playing this game. Hope the wife allows the road trip. Maybe take the kids and give her a weekend to herself.

This maybe a go. 5 hours for a $50 non working game. I have lost it. Oh well. Any deals from Cedar Rapids IA to Catlin IL please let me know.

There can't be too many of these ... If it were in Indy I could grab it and hold it, its too far at 116 miles each way.

Roc'N Rope was just a conversion kit (that is a Scramble cab). The PCB is pretty easy to find. It's standard Konami classic pinout, so it'll plug right in to many cabs. Very fun game.

Picked this up. Was junk. Parting out. In a Stern cabinet too. Probably going to bundle the control panel, marquee, bezel and board. All of that is in great condition just the cabinet is not even worth keeping.

That stinks. If all those are in good condition, maybe just build a new cabinet? I bought a project centipede in a similar condition and I keep trying to convince myself to go that route instead of parting it.

Just looked and their is a number of cabinets that could host this game. Will tinker in existing cabinet to see if I should move it over.

Just got it home. The kill switch for the back cabinet door wasn't pressed in due to the cabinet being ROTTEN! Taped them down and we got a working Rock N Rope. Everything inside is in great condition and absolutely no burn in and a bright and crisp display. Thank you for this find. I just need to move it to a good cabinet and into the basement it goes.
