I know we have posted about this before and came up with Space Invaders and Berzerk. However, there is another video game that shows up where the Berzerk was in the video. They have continuity issues. Imagine that. Anyway, here is a link to the video. This is the best I could find online. My DVD/LD at home are better but I still can't make out what the video game is. It shows at about 3:58 and then at 4:02 or so. It sort of looked like Starship 1 until I watched the video again and looked at the game. Not it.

Anyone?

It sure looks like a LIBERATOR to me... same style cab, but it has the funky shroud around the monitor/cab... and I can see where the hand on the side of the cabinet would be on the sideart... also same color scheme on the marquee. What do I win tonight?! :)

Upon further inspection I think its a similar vintage to Liberator, but not quite because of marquee angle... I know I've seen that one... Here's a screen capture of it.

Damn you're good! Dead nuts positive thats it, colors, bezel, and the square thing on the right of the control panel!

and after reading the klov entry for starship 1

"For it's time, this is a very cool game, in the Star Wars type of game play, but black and white. The front monitor surround appears to have been mostly white plastic, however at least 1 reported factory painted blue one. Mike Jang, the designer of Atari video game cabinets during that time, says he does not remember seeing any other than white. He suggests it could have possibly been built at the Ireland plant. (I own one of these blue surround models, so I know they exist). At the end of a game 2 various saying will be displayed. One simply saying to deposit a quarter to be the captain of Starship 1, the other say that 'Sensors detect another quarter in your pocket, deposit it to be the captain of Starship 1'. Pretty funny the first time you see it!"

it seems the person who wrote that may in fact have a converted destroyer or at the verry least a destroyer plastic shroud
