Arcade Expo 2017 Banning, California

I saw a handful of people walking around video documenting the games so I'm sure video will be getting up on youtube soon if it's not already. My pics are just a taste. There was so much more.

Had so much fun at the expo this Sunday! Only lost to someone once on all the fighting games I played today. Looking forward to the next Banning expo already!

I could barely get anyone to play me on Street Fighter 2. I played for an hour on Friday, and 3 hours on Sunday. Only 3 people approached to play.

It freaken 6:50 am.. Laughs and I am awake after 6 days of banning.

I want to thanks those who got roped into helping.

The ones who got the strange calls of hey this arcade machine is doing blah blah blah. You own one or once owned one, does this "insert problem" sound normal?

The ones who were there to enjoying the show and got roped into repairing. Hey which high voltage knob do I turn. Hey this has free play and you don't need to add a coin credit switch to it. There is an assumption that free credit switch works laughs

There is currently one red shirt tech who works on the video side permently . Imagine working over 400 video machines that you don't have too much knowledge about. I am not saying one guy fixed every machine. This was a group effort from many extremely talented people from the past shows to the present shows who pulled this off. I want to say thank you to them all. I am not saying this massive repair project is over and done with. This is only the beginning. I hope someday that the repair side can keep up with the collecting side over there.

There is a certain joy from seeing people enjoy playing a game you worked on.

I took some pics of the video side, just down each row...
But it's not letting me upload them from my phone right now. Hopefully I'll figure this out soon... Might have to switch to Firefox.

If I lived anywhere near that place I'd be there everyday fixing stuff. So much cool shit there...

I'd even work on pins. :)

What bring joy to me is watching people enjoying the games that I repaired or helped in the repairs..

I bet that was sold to John "100% working!"

Lying assholes!

So many of the games I fixed while I was there were "sold as working" and theres no way they did. If I ever find out who sold said games to him I'm going to out the liars here on KLOV and AHA.

I saw people playing Street Fighter 2 while I was playing Marvel vs Capcom right next to me. I actually didn't play SF2 myself, I played MvC, MvC2 , Xmen vs street fighter, and UMK3. I had a good amount of people challenge me. It reminded me of the old days.

I was on sf2 saturday morning and night. Someone did the handcuff glitch and locked up the machine sometime during the day Saturday. It eventually got reset. Had a couple groups of guys put in some rounds on saturday night. Was also on it for as bout an hour on sunday morning, played 11 round against one challenger, won 10 of them. :D Fun hanging around the machine, chatting with other players, meeting folks coming from Vegas and other further locations to recapture what once was.

Which characters do you use? I use Ryu and E. Honda. If things get close with another player I pull out my ace, Chun-Li. I played someone about 15 times, i think he got me 2 or 3 times. I did get two perfects on him though. The other two people played 5 or 6 times and didn't beat me...then nothing.

The funny thing about the sega samurai cab, it has three wire connected to the coin switch.
touching the wrong set of wires will make the game reset. It a security feature from what I been told.

If i can find a Push button switch that has a NO and NC. I can add a credit switch to this game.

Either use all three posts on a regular push button or wire a N/O switch to drive a relay and wire the relay switches to the coin switch wires.

Ha, yeah that was about the same as my experience. Saturday night - no losses. Sunday morning, lost 1 out of 11. :D

Ryu is my main on WW. I play Ken on pretty much all other versions of the game, but on WW, the differences are so minimal between the two, with a slight bit of "less advantage" on the part of Ken due to more startup frames on his fireball and dragon punch.
