We all see posts showing people create their own gameroom/arcade in their house/basement/garage or whatever. Anyone want to see pics as I deconstruct mine? We're moving so I have to put my arcade (garage) back to looking like a garage and I have been taking pics as things change. It's kind of sad for me really but might be interesting for others.

Just to get some perspective... we'll start at the beginning...

I'm keeping Tron, Discs of Tron, Tapper, Star Wars, Assault, and Harlem Globetrotters pinball. I hope the DC area has lots of arcade games and collectors so I can rebuild me collection :)

Painting will happen this weekend. More pics to come.

Painted the garage a non-gameroom color over the weekend:

You can just see the DoT:

Man the selection you kept is exactly what I would have saved as well. Weird.

When you get to DC replace the Centipede with a Millipede. :D

Heh - yeah - I kept the special ones... Tron, Discs of Tron, Star Wars, Tapper, Harlem Globetrotters pin (and a friend is babysitting Assault). I do plan on rebuilding my collection once we move into a new house. :)

Ok, this is the last chapter of the deconstruction. The last JAMMA cab and the Toobin are now gone. Final pics (and yes, this whole deconstruction has been a bit sad for me) :

Star Wars, Tapper, and Harlem Globetrotters clearly visible. (Bank Panic is awaiting shipment out)

You can see my authentic House Rules sign, my framed Qbert sideart (which has shifted in the frame) and in the back you can see my high score board.

The next pics you see (someday) will be of the start of the new arcade in the DC area.

What I kept:
-Star Wars upright
-Discs of Tron upright
-Tron upright
Tapper upright
-Assault
-Harlem Globetrotters pinball
-Beast Sapp pachislo
-newish LCD pachinko
-a JAMMA bartop
-about 30 PCBs
-1 Apple test monitor
-My JAMMA test rig in a tool box
-lots of arcade art (sideart, bezels, marquees)
-the desire and passion to create a new arcade once we move :)

What I find interesting is this and the other photo with all the boxes and a few games popping out are similar shots to what some of us havel posted in the past as 'warehouse raids'.

Step back, take a look and it easily could be one of those back rooms an operator had that hasn't been used for anything but storage.
